At around 10:40am on the 10th of August 2015 the body of a White European male was discovered by a farmer on the salt marshes on the River Lune estuary near to Glasson Dock. Not much more is known about the circumstances surrounding the Glasson dock man’s discovery.

The Keys and the jacket
With the Glasson Dock man’s clothing it kind of reminds me of a night security guard and the fact he has a jacket with ‘Northern Profile Security Services’ motif on left chest area it really does give the impression this man was on a security shift. It may not be for Northern Profile Security Services as this may have just been a spare piece of clothing used for the job or maybe the Glasson Dock man worked for the company in the past and was on a new job? He also wore a black pair of “Derri” style boots which I doubt would be great for long travels. He wore an adidas burgundy beanie hat and a chequered shirt in a size small, assuming this fit the Glasson Dock man I would say it’s safe to assume he may be of slim build.

He also had a red and green woollen jumper, I cannot make out the motif on the front of the jumper but if you have any guesses let me know in the comments below.

The Jackets
The Two Jackets seem somewhat appropriate for working close to water or maybe outdoors. The Northern Profile Security Services motif on one of the jackets are a small lead but not much information on Northern Profile Security Services is found on companies house. I did find a post relating to this company on webslueths where an individual was searching for the Glasson dock man’s identity.

Unfortunately the individual did not get any replies on this comment thread.
The Magnifying Glasses
The two magnifying glasses could have been used to see keyholes for the keys the Glasson Dock man had or maybe he had issues seeing smaller writing but did not have glasses? He seemed to have needed more than one just in case, but why is still unknown.

Movie Lover, Music Lover or Both
We know the Glasson dock man also had a plastic card holder containing 2 pieces of card believed to be from ‘Uncut’ magazine with song titles and a list of written film titles on the white reverse. I would be highly interested to know what that list would have been. It would provide extra context to talk about when making appeals for this case. This man does seem somewhat old school and maybe on the older end of the scale of 30 – 70 years old. Maybe he really liked movie sound tracks and had recently been given a list of some good titles or maybe he was out to buy someone these movies or songs for a present.
in a quote from Lancashire Guardian in 2016 DS Simon Ball from Lancaster CID said: “While we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances to this man’s death, he has not yet been formally identified and we are appealing to the public for their help. If anyone recognises the man’s description or has any information about who he might be I would urge them to get in touch with us. We are keen to identify who this man is so that we can track down any family members and inform them of his death.”
Laid to Rest
Karen Leytham, Cabinet member for environmental health, said: “It is always very sad when officers are called upon to arrange public burials, knowing that a person has died without the comfort of having family and friends to look out for them and help fulfil their final wishes.
“Even so, our officers deal with each case with utmost tact and diplomacy, working with other parties including the mortuary service, landlord or care home to conclude matters efficiently but with dignity.
“It is hoped on this occasion, that a last minute appeal to find anyone who knew the gentleman will see someone come forward on Thursday to pay their last respects.”
A public funeral was arranged for the unidentified man at 9.30am on Thursday, March 3, at Torrisholme Cemetery, Westgate, Morecambe. Representatives from Lancaster City Council were also in attendance.
