We have another case not yet passed over to the UK Unidentified Missing Persons Unit (UKMPU) where a man remains unidentified after his death.
Wales online reports that Gwent police have not yet been able to discover the mans identitiy after making the initial enquiries.
It is thought that the mans death is not being treated as suspicous.

We know that police were called to a property on Church Street. Newport on Wednesday the 9th of July 2025, at around 10pm and Gwent police are are appealing on behalf of the coronors office to help identifying the unknown man.
The man is described as
- Asian
- Slim Build
- Around 5ft 8 inches tall
- Short Grey beard
- Aged between 50 – 60 years old
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “Gwent Police, on behalf of the Gwent Coroner’s Office, is appealing for your help to identify a man whose body was found at an address in Newport.
“Officers were called to a property in Church Street at around 10pm on Wednesday, July 9, after receiving reports that a man was found unresponsive inside.

“A custody nurse confirmed the man had died and his death is not viewed as suspicious.
“Despite carrying out enquiries, our officers, who are assisting the coronial process, have not yet been able to establish the man’s identity.
“The man is described as Asian, of slim build, around 5ft 8” tall, with a short, grey beard, and is believed to be aged between 50 and 60 years.
“Officers would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man or knows someone who matches the man’s description but has not had contact with him since 9 July.
