On the 04 July 2025, members of the public discovered a womens left hiking shoe, with a sock inside on the beach at Dunraven Bay. Sadly there were also some remains inside the sock, indicating this may be from a missing female.

The shoe itself does not look overly worn and seems to be in great condition. There is hardly any damage apart from the damage at the top of the tounge, where the fabric seems to have a small hole.
We know it is a left shoe, so if a body turns up without a left foot, then hopefully police can easily identify this this, especially having the knowldge that the shoe is a size 5. I must note though that not every one has two feet the same size, and not everyone has two feet, so there is that to consider when trying to identify someone as being the owner of the shoe.
These shoes can be found in multiple outlets accross the UK, and the same goes with the socks, which is a lot harder to research than the shoes.

The Big Toe Hairs
I did notice that a hair colour was undetermined and you may be thinking, how the hell are you asking about hair when we only have a foot, but take a look at your big toe, right in the middle just below your big toe nail, there are small hairs. Could these hairs, hold vital DNA data that could identify this unidentified missing persons foot, and could they also tell us the hair colour the female could have had naturally? I know my big toe hairs are ginger (stop laughing) and I think that shoes my hair colour when my hair started growing as a baby. A very soft and light ginger colour.
Maybe the hairs on the big toe were no longer present due to decomposition, or difficulty in finding them. While I am limited to resources, information and other data, this forces me to think outside the box and look for other methods to try and identifiy the unidentified missing person.
Pre-mortem Injuries: it is not known to the public if the foot has been dislodged from the owners body due to decompision
The Location
Right next to Dunraven Bay are some cliffs, this could indicate some unknown incident involving the cliffs. Could this person have fallen from this area and part of thier body washed up on shore? There is nothing to indicate fould paly so far but it is also notable to say there is nothing indicating an accident or self injury either.

Did they search again?
Knowing there are these cliffs nearby, have they searched the nearby area to see if any more remains are present? There is nothing to indicate in the UK Missing Persons Unit (UKMPU) report that further searches have taken place.
