  • wearing black shorts

Although police have previously said the death is not believed to be suspicous, they don’t seem to have recovered the mans bike or shirt. Hopefully locating those may lead to some answers as to how the unidentified male entered the river.

It is believed police may know the identity on the unidentified male and have asked if anyone has seen a man riding a black Cube bicycle and wearing a khaki shirt and baseball cap on Saturday or early Sunday to contact them.

SEARCHES

It is reported that police are currently searching near to where the unidentified man was found in hopes to find some of his belongings.

A possible sighting of the man was also made on Saturday at 15:45 near the Seven Hills roundabout at Levington reports BBC NEWS

Suffolk Police said today that a body was recovered from the River Deben this morning (Sunday 17th August).

Officers were contacted at 7.45am by the Coastguard, who brought the body of an adult male ashore at Waldringfield at 8.45am. Death was confirmed officially by Ambulance Service crew.

Police are now trying to establish the man’s identity. He is described as a white male of around 35 years of age, with fair hair and a beard. He was wearing black shorts when his body was found in the river.

The cause of death is unknown but at this stage is not believed to be suspicious.

The man’s body was taken to the mortuary at Ipswich Hospital.
