Ricky Harris, 31, went missing in Aberdare in November 2023.

• Last physical sighting by his Aunt Nina Harris at 2pm on 18th November 2023 at his flat in Maes-y-Deri, Aberaman
• CCTV showed him close to his flat 20 minutes later at 2:20pm
• 5ft 7in
• Medium Build
• Brown eyes
• Brown hair
• Wearing a black tracksuit
• Dark grey Adidas trainers with light grey stripes

Before Ricky Dissapeared he had been discharged from hospital after being treated for pneumonia. It was said that Ricky Disharged himself after doctors removed a considrable amount of fluid from his lungs.

On the 18 November 2023 Ricky Harris had asked his Aunt Nina Harris for a lift to his flat in Maes-y-Deri, Aberaman, at approximately 2:00 pm.

His aunt said that Ricky was not his usual self, he seemed reseved, worried or edgy by what I have researched from previous news reports.

Since the Face reveal of the UNIDENTIFIED man found in Claerwen reservoir the public had recognised some of the details that could be similar to that of Ricky Harris, this was flagged with the lead detective in the case of the Unidentified man Detective Anthea Ponting who has today confirmed that the body has been tested and the undientified man is NOT RICKY HARRIS.

Although this is sad news for Ricky family as they just want answers it does give hope that the public still have Ricky in their hearts. I am so proud to read that the public took an active role in this case and this should definetly not deter them from refering names in the future. I am also proud that the police took the time to inform the public, this is the kind of transparency the public needs.

A statement online read: “We are aware of news reports referring to a digital recreation of a man’s face who was found at a reservoir in mid Wales.

We want to confirm that this person is not long-term missing person Ricky Harris.

Ricky’s family has been supported throughout this challenging time by officers, who continue to keep them informed about every development in the search for their son.

We are unwavering in our commitment to locate Ricky, and we are in constant communication with his family.”

SO what do we do now? well we share both cases, for some think that things happen for a reason and if that reason was for Rickys case to get attention, I am happy to roll with that.

From all reports, Ricky is loved, missed and his family have been through so many ups and downs. The search for Ricky hasn’t stopped and I believe and have faith that his family and community will continue to raise his appeal.

It is not known if Ricky was still suffering from pneumonia and if this may have had an impact on keeping himself safe, or wether someone may have taken advantage. Thought of that just lead to worry and fear of what might of happened.
